Southern California Fresh Kosher Meat, Fish & Poultry Information

 
Meat 1 All the meat in Albertsons' program is processed in USDA Plant 18465 which is under 
the supervision of OK Laboratories.
2 Only Glatt Kosher and Chassidishe Shechita, Beef, Veal and Lamb, slaughtered under  KAJ, CHK, Kehila or Rabbi Hendel (Lubavitch) of Montreal supervision are used.
3 Meat is portioned and trimmed, vacuumed in barrier trays and flooded with Oxygen to keep it red and fresh for 10 days.  After 10 days is should be cooked or frozen.  Always follow the safe handling instructions on each package..

Fish 1 All the Fish in Albertsons' program is processed under the supervision of OK Laboratories.
2 Fish is processed, portioned and trimmed, vacuumed in barrier trays and flooded with CO2 to keep it 10 days.  After 10 days is should be cooked or frozen.  Always follow the  safe handling instructions on each package.

Poultry 1 All the chicken and turkey in Albertsons' program is processed and\or labeled in USDA Plant 18465 which is under the supervision of OK Laboratories.

3 Chicken arrives fresh from Canada and labeled while it has a 10 day shelf life.
